After coming within one run of winning the World Series, now is the time to buy single game tickets for the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field! The reigning AL Central champions return a solid nucleus and expect to contend for a second straight pennant and lift the World Series trophy for the first time since 1948.
The Indians will host division rivals Detroit and Kansas City, as well as AL East and West champs Boston and Texas. Interleague play brings intrastate rival Cincinnati to town for two games, and NL West winners Los Angeles have a three-game set in June. Check out the full season schedule below and make a date to cheer on the Indians!
The Indians are all-in for this season, evidenced by the signing of free agent slugger Edwin Encarnacion, who had 42 homers for Toronto last year. Francisco Lindor, the AL Rookie of the Year runner-up, is part of solid middle-infield combo with second baseman Jason Kipnis, and Carlos Santana will provide power in the heart of the lineup.
Cleveland returns its entire starting rotation, paced by 18-game winner Corey Kluber. But the real key to the Indians’ pennant hopes will be if Danny Salazar can stay healthy after striking out 161 batters in just 137 1-3 innings over 25 starts. The bullpen is in good hands with set-up man Andrew Miller leading the way for closer Cody Allen.
