Devils Team Report

Sometimes, a long road trip isn't the worst thing for a hockey team.
The Devils are heading out west for the first four games of a six-game journey and they will play eight of the next 10 away from Newark.
"It may be the best thing for us," Devils coach Brent Sutter said after his team was shut out by Atlanta in Newark on Thursday night.
"I trust this group. I've said this before. We've had a bump in the road here and we have to deal with it."
The Devils are 4-5 in their last nine games. They have been shut out in three of those losses. They have scored 20 goals in those nine games.
In short, the club just doesn't have enough players who have been scoring with any kind of consistency.
Now, they head out west, where they were swept in four games...
