Bruins Team Report
(Fri, 19 Mar 2010 02:30:47 PDT)
The focus of the fans and the media was on the first appearance against the Bruins of Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke since the Penguin delivered the hit that may well have ended Marc Savard's season.
The people came to see justice done. There was some of that, but what the people also saw was the Bruins lose another home game.
Playing their first game at home after a 3-3-1 road trip, the Bruins fell to 1-8-3 at home since Marco Sturm scored that overtime goal in the New Year's Day game at Fenway Park.
This team plays well on the road and has beaten only Toronto, and that was in a shootout, at home since the Winter Classic.
Boston has scored 17 goals in those 12 games.
"I don't know what's going on this year at home," said left wing Milan Lucic.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 17 saves for Pittsburgh's first shutout of the season in the Penguins' 3-0 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday. Cooke, whose blindside hit sidelined Boston's Marc Savard indefinitely with a Grade 2 concussion in Pittsburgh on March 7, took the ice for the first time 1:53 into the game as fans booed loudly.

Bruins retaliate for Cooke's hit on Savard
(Thu, 18 Mar 2010 17:17:35 PDT)
The Bruins wasted little time retaliating against the Pittsburgh Penguins' Matt Cooke for his blindside hit that left Boston center Marc Savard with a Grade 2 concussion. In the teams' first meeting since Savard was hurt by a shoulder-to-head hit March 7 in Pittsburgh, Cooke and Boston's Shawn Thornton dropped their gloves at 1:58 of the first period Thursday night, 5 seconds after...
