Left wing Keith Tkachuk isn't saying if 2008-09 will be his last season in the NHL, but if that's how it turns out, he's checking quite a few career achievements off his list.
After playing in his 1,000th NHL game and scoring his 500th career goal last season, Tkachuk netted career point No. 1,000 in Sunday's 4-2 victory at Atlanta.
"You just dream of playing in the NHL," said Tkachuk, 36. "I feel very fortunate. I'm having a blast. It's nice when you win."
Tkachuk's 511th career goal came much like the others in his 17-year career: He scored on the power play and was knocked to the ice as the goal crossed the red line.

Keith Tkachuk became the 72nd player in NHL history to record 1,000 points with a power-play tally in the second period as the St. Louis Blues recorded a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Thrashers on Sunday afternoon at Philips Arena.

The St. Louis Blues celebrated Keith Tkachuk's milestone goal, then went on to win a rare road game. Tkachuk tied it then Brad Boyes put St. Louis ahead midway through the third period and St. Louis Blues beat the Atlanta Thrashers 4-2 Sunday. The Thrashers lost for the sixth time in seven games and the Blues ended a two-game losing streak and are 4-8 away from home.

Former NHL agent David Frost acquitted

Former NHL agent David Frost was acquitted Friday of sexual exploitation while coaching in a junior league in Canada. Frost was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation from his time as a coach of the now-defunct Ontario junior A Quinte Hawks in eastern Ontario in 1996 and 1997. A judge found him not guilty on all four counts.

The Blues traded forward Lee Stempniak to the Toronto Maple leafs for center Alexander Steen and defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo. The Blues made the deal Monday because they have needed a center since Andy McDonald broke his left leg on Nov. 16. Steen has two goals and two assists in 20 games this season, and has 50 goals and 76 assists in 253 career games.
