Blackhawks Team Report
(Sun, 22 Nov 2009 01:37:57 PST)
Two down, four to go—and Marian Hossa's almost ready for his Blackhawks debut. Things are certainly going well for the Hawks on their six-game road trip.
After piling up 12 goals in wins at Calgary and Edmonton, the Hawks visit the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night in hopes of avenging a home loss suffered early in the season. The Canucks are the last of two teams to beat the Hawks on their home ice.
The Hawks have won six games in a row, since captain Jonathan Toews returned after missing six games because of a concussion, and are approaching the nine-game streak that triggered their big season in 2008-09. Cristobal Huet has become the solid goaltender the Hawks expected him to be, and the power play is finally cashing in.
