Backstrom OT goal gives Caps 4-3 win over Chicago
(Sun, 14 Mar 2010 13:43:29 PDT)
Alex Ovechkin was kicked out early, the Washington Capitals fell behind 3-0 and that's when they showed why they have the NHL's best record and highest-scoring offense. Nicklas Backstrom scored unassisted with 1:50 left in overtime -- his second goal of the game -- to give the Capitals a 4-3 comeback victory Sunday.

Blackhawks Team Report
(Sun, 14 Mar 2010 01:48:14 PST)
Coach Joel Quenneville wants to settle on a starting goaltender for the playoff run, but he's running out of time in doing that.
Neither Cristobal Huet nor rookie Antti Niemi has established himself as the clear-cut starter, but a decision from Quenneville could be coming after this weekend's games. Huet got the start at Philadelphia on Saturday and was the loser in a tough 3-2 battle. Niemi will be between the pipes Sunday when the Washington Capitals visit the United Center. They seem to be in a game-by-game duel, and the "winner" figures to be the starter in the playoffs.
Goaltending aside, the Hawks need a boost. Their play hasn't been as good since the Olympic break as it was before the Winter Games.
The Hawks have played six games since the break, four on home...
