Titans Team Report
(Tue, 02 Dec 2008 04:19:51 PST)
Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher said his team needed to get back to running the football after suffering a loss to the New York Jets last Sunday.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Titans passed the test by rushing for 292 yards in a 47-10 trouncing of the woeful Detroit Lions.
OK, it was an open-book test since it was the Lions, but the Titans still aced it by controlling the game in dominant fashion with the offensive line and running backs Chris Johnson and LenDale White, who combined for 231 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
"It's nice to be able to do what you set out to do, and that's what we did. We were committed to it. Both backs got a lot of yards on their own, and they got a lot of help up front," Fisher said.
From the outset, it was evident the...

It's down to this for Titans: Win and you're in
(Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:53:25 PST)
The Cleveland Browns didn't help Tennessee clinch a playoff berth by beating Indianapolis. So it's up to the Titans to win the AFC South title by themselves -- if they defeat the Browns on Sunday. The Titans wouldn't have it any other way. "We're kind of in the driver's seat," defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said Monday.

(Fri, 28 Nov 2008 14:03:24 PST)
Now the Tennessee Titans are enjoying the payoff for playing three games within 11 days: a long weekend of rest and relaxation. Once-beaten Titans matched up with winless Lions
(Wed, 26 Nov 2008 13:47:58 PST)
The Tennessee Titans blew the symmetry of an 11-0, 0-11 matchup with the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. The once-beaten Titans, though, will get a chance to show coast-to-coast viewers they're still a dominant team against the winless Lions. "We also have to remember it's a national stage for them to show that although they have an 0-11 record, that they still have a pretty good team," Jevon Kearse...

Lions have to play angry Titans now
(Wed, 26 Nov 2008 11:08:22 PST)
It would have been bad enough for the Detroit Lions if the Tennessee Titans were 11-0 coming in for the traditional Turkey Day feast on Thursday. It may be worse that the Titans are 10-1 because now they want to get rid of the sting of their first defeat. That's the scenario for the first game of the annual Thanksgiving tripleheader.

(Tue, 25 Nov 2008 17:16:19 PST)
The Tennessee Titans have proven they can throw the ball when necessary. Now coach Jeff Fisher wants them to go back to what he likes to do best: Run, run, run. "It's not that we didn't remain committed to it or didn't intend to do it, but we were put in a position to pick it up and throw it," Fisher said Tuesday.

(Mon, 24 Nov 2008 14:48:45 PST)
Tennessee defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch had predicted the Titans would lose at least once this season. Well, now they have, and all that talk of chasing perfection is over for Tennessee. The Titans face a new challenge of regrouping from a 34-13 loss to the New York Jets that was their first this season -- and worst going back to November 2007.
