Texans Team Report
(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 13:09:44 PST)
The Texans never have to look too closely when schedules are released each season. Their primetime action is typically reserved for Saturday nights during the preseason.
In the regular season, they have owned the noon Sunday slot. And for the majority of the past seven seasons, that time of day hasn't bode well for them. Finally this week, the Texans will find out if they are better suited for Monday nights.
The Texans are confident that a good outing on Monday against the Jacksonville Jaguars could do much more than just improve their record. They hope it boosts the perception of the franchise nationally. "No matter how well we play sometimes on offense, it's like after the Indianapolis game, people said, 'Oh, I can't believe they gave up 177 yards rushing to the...

"A cranky 2-year-old is more difficult than a defense because defenses you only deal with on Sunday. The son you deal with 24/7," Slaton said with a smile.
