Eagles Team Report
(Tue, 02 Dec 2008 04:19:51 PST)
For only the second time this season, the Eagles failed to register a quarterback sack in Thursday night's 48-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
But that didn't mean Jim Johnson's defense didn't get any pressure on Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner. Just the opposite.
The Eagles' defensive line was in Warner's face much of the night, forcing hurried throws that resulted in three interceptions and never letting him get comfortable in the pocket.
The Eagles, who went into the game with a league-best 39 sacks, are one of the biggest blitzing teams in the league. But Johnson didn't blitz very often against Warner, who is as good as there is in the league at beating the blitz.
