Bills Team Report
(Tue, 02 Dec 2008 04:19:51 PST)
The Bills enter the final month of the season needing to sweep four games and get plenty of help elsewhere to even have a remote shot of making the playoffs, and they may have to start that nearly impossible journey without their starting quarterback, Trent Edwards.
Edwards strained his groin early in Buffalo's loss to San Francisco, and after he tried to play through the pain in the first half, the Bills shut him down for the final two quarters and went with J.P. Losman.
Edwards was not having a particularly productive day, as he was 10 of 21 for 112 yards, and the Bills were losing 10-0 at the half. Still, Edwards gives Buffalo a better chance to win than Losman, and if Edwards can't play against the AFC East rival Dolphins at Toronto's Rogers Centre, it would be a...

Edwards injured, Bills can't stop freefall
(Mon, 01 Dec 2008 12:36:45 PST)
It's bad enough the Bills have no margin for error if they want to keep their slim postseason hopes alive over the next four games. Now they may have to do it without starting quarterback Trent Edwards. Edwards was pulled after the first half of Buffalo's disheartening 10-3 loss to San Francisco on Sunday with a groin injury, and was still sore Monday.

Browns' Anderson, Winslow hurt in loss
(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 19:21:31 PST)
The losses keep mounting for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns dropped their fourth straight home game on Sunday and will likely be without quarterback Derek Anderson for their final four games. Anderson, starting in place of the injured Brady Quinn, sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee when he was hit by the helmet of his teammate in the closing minutes.
Bills QB Edwards hurts groin against 49ers
(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 15:56:46 PST)
The pain in Trent Edwards' sore groin grew worse with each step he took, forcing the Bills starter to the sideline midway through a 10-3 loss to San Francisco on Sunday that all but dashed what's left of Buffalo's playoff hopes. And it's unclear whether Edwards will be healthy in time to play next weekend when Buffalo hosts Miami at Toronto.
49ers' defense stymies Bills in 10-3 win
(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 15:16:40 PST)
If misery loves company, the Buffalo Bills can now appreciate what San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis has felt like for much of the past month, sitting on the outside of the playoff hunt looking in. With little more than pride on the line, Willis took out his frustrations in helping San Francisco all but dash the Bills' playoff hopes with a 10-3 win on Sunday.
Bills starting S Whitner inactive
(Sun, 30 Nov 2008 09:18:02 PST)
Bills starting strong safety Donte Whitner didn't play in Buffalo's game against San Francisco on Sunday, missing his second consecutive contest because of a separated shoulder. Whitner was hurt in the fourth quarter of the Bills' loss to the New York Jets on Nov. 2, and has now missed three of the last four games because of the injury.

(Fri, 28 Nov 2008 14:23:52 PST)
Bills starting tight end Robert Royal and starting cornerback Jabari Greer won't play because of injuries when Buffalo hosts the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Greer's right knee was injured against Cleveland two weeks ago and he'll miss his second straight game.

(Thu, 27 Nov 2008 12:59:11 PST)
What was the NFL thinking when it scheduled the warm-weather Miami Dolphins to play their division-rival Buffalo Bills in the cozy confines of a domed stadium in December, and in Canada of all places? That's the question numerous unhappy Bills fans have been asking since the schedule came out with Buffalo playing a "home" game against Miami at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Dec.

Blowout win provides Bills with renewed confidence
(Mon, 24 Nov 2008 15:31:20 PST)
Talk about having a renewed sense of confidence: Buffalo Bills receiver Josh Reed was so upbeat Monday that he wore a University of Michigan hat. Now that takes guts for someone who attended LSU. "Actually, I didn't know I was going to be doing (interviews) this morning," Reed said sheepishly. "It kind of matched my outfit, so I just kind of threw something on." What mattered is that Reed looked...

The lessons of history are not lost on Brian Waters, Kansas City's battle-scarred, nine-year veteran left guard. He's watched teams plunge to the bottom and flop around like fish in a mud hole gasping for breath. He knows his Chiefs since October 2007 are a nightmarish 1-18. He's seen tens of thousands of empty seats in once-teeming Arrowhead Stadium.

Bills WR Josh Reed eager to get back in lineup
(Fri, 21 Nov 2008 00:47:13 PST)
Receiver Josh Reed was back in his familiar spot in the far corner of the Bills' locker room after practice Thursday, joking and holding court with his teammates as if he hadn't seen them in years. For Reed, it sure felt that way after he spent most of the past three weeks in the training room rehabbing a nasty sprain to his right ankle.
