Wizards Team Report
(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 01:36:29 PST)
The Wizards have to be concerned about the confidence of third-year guard Nick Young. A first-round pick out of USC in 2007, Young is at best an afterthought on what thus far has been a bad team.
Young logged just one minute in the team's game at Oklahoma City on Friday night. This, however, was a big improvement on the two previous games, a loss over Detroit and a relatively easy win vs. Cleveland. On the season, Young, once forecast by many to be on the verge of being a regular in the rotation, has played a total of 43 minutes. He hasn't scored a point in his last five games.
"I really don't know what to say," Young said. "I know that I have to earn my way onto the floor, and right now it's not happening for me.

Wade does it to Wizards again, Heat win 90-76
(Tue, 10 Nov 2009 20:23:52 PST)
Dwyane Wade had a message for his team at halftime. Lose this game, he said, and it will linger for the remainder of the season. It was a personal pep talk more than anything else. Wade scored 41 points, 29 in the second half -- outscoring Washington by two points over the final 24 minutes -- and the Miami Heat remained in first place in the Southeast Division by holding off the Wizards 90-76 on...

(Tue, 10 Nov 2009 18:36:08 PST)
Washington guard Randy Foye sprained his right ankle midway through the second quarter of Tuesday night's game against Miami and was not expected to return. X-rays were planned, the team said. Foye's absence added to the Wizards' growing injury woes at guard. Mike James will miss at least the next month with a broken left ring finger, Mike Miller sprained his left shoulder last week...
