Spurs Team Report
(Fri, 19 Mar 2010 02:30:30 PDT)
Richard Jefferson couldn't score all season and now all of a sudden he's the Spurs' best bet offensively, along with Manu Ginobili.
Meanwhile, Tim Duncan has slumped mightily. Duncan had two points and was 1-of-10 from the field in the worst shooting percentage game of his career, a big reason the Spurs lost for only the second time in their last 10 games.
Duncan's previous low was a 1-of-8 night against Minnesota on April 20, 2005, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He has not scored 20 points in a game since March 1 when he went for 22 points.
"Just a bad game, mostly myself," Duncan said. "It kind of starts with me. We got caught in a rotation early and missed some shots, but I just didn't play well."
The Spurs failed to tie their season-high five-game...
Magic smother Tim Duncan to beat Spurs 110-84
(Wed, 17 Mar 2010 20:44:32 PDT)
Tim Duncan sat stiff and stared aimlessly on the bench watching his San Antonio Spurs get blown away in the final minutes. His movement wasn't much better on the court. The Orlando Magic made sure of that. Vince Carter had 24 points and eight assists, and the Magic smothered Duncan to beat San Antonio 110-84 on Wednesday night.

Ginobili gets 22, Spurs hang on to beat Heat 88-76
(Tue, 16 Mar 2010 20:42:40 PDT)
San Antonio's huge lead was almost gone, Miami's building was roaring and the Heat were clicking better than they had at any point all night. With one shot, Manu Ginobili changed everything. Ginobili scored 22 points, none bigger than a tide-turning 3-pointer with 7:58 left, and the surging Spurs wasted most of a 25-point, third-quarter lead before beating the Heat 88-76 on Tuesday night,...

Spurs beat Clippers for 16th straight time
(Sat, 13 Mar 2010 21:11:54 PST)
George Hill was a scorer and distributor for the San Antonio Spurs, and then a player-coach briefly as well. Hill had 14 points and a career-high 11 assists to help the Spurs beat the Los Angeles Clippers for the 16th straight time, 118-88 Saturday night. With the Spurs up by 25 midway through the fourth quarter, coach Gregg Popovich called timeout and handed the clipboard to Hill, who had exited...

(Sat, 13 Mar 2010 15:17:24 PST)
The Spurs have signed rookie guard Garrett Temple to a 10-day contract. The signing Saturday came the day after Temple's 10-day deal with Sacramento expired. He averaged 2.2 points in five games for the Kings. Temple played nine games for the Houston Rockets under a pair of 10-day contracts, averaging five points per game.
R. Jefferson, Hill lead Spurs over Timberwolves
(Fri, 12 Mar 2010 20:30:29 PST)
Manu Ginobili only played 28 minutes, Tim Duncan only 25 and Tony Parker didn't play at all. Yet the San Antonio Spurs were still way too much for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who seem to sink lower and lower each time they take the court. Richard Jefferson had 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists in his first start in seven games to help the Spurs to a 103-85 victory over the Timberwolves...
