Grizzlies Team Report
(Sun, 21 Mar 2010 00:40:32 PDT)
The Grizzlies are still winning without injured center Marc Gasol, who missed his third consecutive game Saturday with a strained neck.
The biggest surprise in his absence is noticeably improved rookie center Hasheem Thabeet, who looked lost and weak before he spent six games in the D-League. Now playing stronger and more confidently, Thabeet is averaging 8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks on 60 percent shooting his last three games.
"He's doing a great job of running the floor and blocking some shots, altering some shots," guard O.J. Mayo said. "He's going to continue to get better. As his brothers, we really have to stay patient with him and continue to root him on, stay positive with him.

(Sat, 20 Mar 2010 21:07:08 PDT)
The short-handed Golden State Warriors are showing signs of fatigue physically. And they have to be mentally tired of their road losing streak. Rudy Gay scored 25 points, O.J. Mayo added 21 and the Memphis Grizzlies sent Golden State to its 13th consecutive road loss with a 123-107 victory Saturday night.

Grizzlies extend undermanned Bulls' skid to 8
(Tue, 16 Mar 2010 21:30:32 PDT)
The Chicago Bulls -- what's left of them -- are slipping further away from the last Eastern Conference playoff spot. Undermanned because of injuries and a suspension, the Bulls dropped their eighth straight Tuesday night, as O.J. Mayo scored 24 points in the Memphis Grizzlies' 104-97 victory. Mayo connected on 8-of-12 shots from the field, including going 4 of 5 from 3-point range, as six...

Grizzlies build huge lead, hold off Knicks
(Fri, 12 Mar 2010 21:16:40 PST)

But the New York Knicks sure made it interesting down the stretch, cutting the advantage to five in the final minute before falling 119-112 on Friday night. Memphis held its 29-point lead with 3:19 left in the third quarter.
