The Clippers showed unusual resilience and fire in staying the course in Friday's home game with the Denver Nuggets. After falling behind 26-14 in the first quarter and being abused by Denver's Carmelo Anthony on a variety of jumpers, the Clippers played some of their best basketball of the season to pull out the victory.
For starters, Baron Davis and Chris Kaman were, for once, not the focal points of the offense. Rasual Butler (season-high 27 points) to Sebastian Telfair (eight points and three assists) and DeAndre Jordan (eight points and three rebounds) were integrated into the sets, given plenty of shots, and subsequently stepped up in a big way as the Clippers eventually moved out to a big lead in the third quarter.

Clippers longtime play-by-play announcer Ralph Lawler and color analyst Michael Smith were suspended one game by the Fox Sports Prime Ticket cable network for their comments about Memphis center Hamed Haddadi. Lawler and Smith made their off-the-cuff comments about the Iranian-born center during Wednesday night's telecast from Memphis.
