Bulls Team Report

As the first team to play against the Los Angeles Lakers' full lineup this season, the Bulls didn't hold up very well.
They trailed by double digits the entire second half and didn't seem to have enough height to counter the Lakers' tall front line of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom. The Lakers became just the second team in 11 games to score 100 points against the Bulls' defense. Boston was the other in an Oct. 30 blowout.
So the Bulls dropped to 1-1 on their challenging circus road trip and now move on to play the other Western Conference final team of last season, the Denver Nuggets.
The good news for the Bulls is they get a day off before facing Denver on Saturday, while the Nuggets will be in Los Angeles playing the Clippers on Friday.

Bulls forward Thomas has surgery

Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas had surgery on his left forearm Saturday, a day after he broke it during a weight-training session. Coach Vinny Del Negro says the operation went well and that Thomas will be re-evaluated Tuesday. Thomas is expected to miss four to six weeks, leaving the Bulls with just 10 healthy players.
