76ers Team Report

Rodney Carney had his chance and did something with it. He scored 10 points in a season-high 31 minutes during Wednesday's 86-84 win over the Bobcats.
Before the Charlotte game, Carney had played more than 13 minutes only one time—and that was 17 in the season-opening blowout loss at Orlando. He had scored 17 points combined in the eight previous games.
"I like what he gives us," said Sixers coach Eddie Jordan. "He gives us good matchups with twos, threes and some small fours. He's tough enough that he doesn't back down, and he's as athletic as anybody we have. And he can make a three(-pointer). To be a threat out there and knock one down helps us."
Carney's versatility and ability to defend are perhaps his biggest strengths.
