Target leaving IndyCar after 27 seasons with Chip Ganassi (The Associated Press)

Target will leave IndyCar at the end of this season after 27 years with Chip Ganassi Racing that included 11 championships and four Indianapolis 500 victories. The exit comes as Target is examining all of its marketing platforms under new chairman Brian Cornell. Target is also the primary sponsor of Kyle Larson in NASCAR's top Sprint Cup Series and will return to his car in 2017.

Tony George returns as chairman of board of Hulman & Co (The Associated Press)

IndyCar founder Tony George has been renamed the chairman of the board of Hulman & Co., the family that owns Indianapolis Motor Speedway. George was forced out of that out of that job by his mother and sisters in 2009. A track spokesman confirmed the family had reinstated George to his previous post during a recent board meeting.

Hunter-Reay eager for more good memories in Toronto (The Associated Press)

Ryan Hunter-Reay's last race was just five days ago, but it's already a distant memory for the veteran IndyCar driver. The 35-year-old will aim to get back on course in Toronto this Sunday when he races at a track that's been kind to him in the past. Hunter-Reay led for 36 laps and won here in 2012.

Hinchcliffe returns to Canada in search of year's 1st win (The Associated Press)

A year after a life-threatening crash during practice for last year's Indianapolis 500, Canadian James Hinchcliffe is back home and searching for his first victory of the season. The 29-year-old Hinchcliffe said he is feeling good entering Sunday's race. ''The craziest thing about it is I'm healthier, fitter now than I've ever been,'' Hinchcliffe said Wednesday.
